Survival Trifecta

As if I'm not already feeling old enough without any outside help; it now seems that every few weeks marks the 50th anniversary of something profoundly significant from my early life. Not long ago, we solemnly observed fifty years of unanswered questions about the JFK assassination, this week, the long awaited Beatles reunion...sort of. Humanity likes to observe such milestones in the passage of time; as if paying homage to a master, yet we seldom take the time to chart the massive changes which creep in on small feline feet.

Oh, to be sure; we certainly note the wonders of progress and science; especially nowadays with the explosion of technology, and all of the apparent freedoms it bestows upon us. When it comes to societal changes though, we seem to draw the line at fashion & fame; nothing much beyond that gets examined with any depth by your average Joe 6-pak. I was just 16 years old when the Beatles arrived, & JFK departed; part of a generation touched by fire; but unlike so many others over the last half century, I've been paying attention as the land of the free and the home of the brave has been gradually transformed into, well, a police state!

Ever since 911 the cop on the beat has increasingly become the cop who beats you senseless then sprays you with tear gas, for simply exercising your right to free speech, if you're lucky. It seems every year more cops shoot first & dodge questions later. I suppose that is part of my problem; I'm old enough to remember how it was before the rise of the Neocons and their Agenda 21.

Of course everyone is all a buzz over this Snowden fellow who gamed the NSA and spilled the beans, but secretly we all just wish the press would glom onto another story because we already know that all our phone calls, emails, tweets & posts are constantly monitored, and having our face rubbed in it every day makes it hard to live in that make-believe reality where it doesn't matter. It isn't easy pushing aside all the things that sicken our souls, just to get thru another day, and all this Snowden/NSA stuff ain't helping a bit!

First it was carnivore, and echelon, to spy on American citizens under the auspices of the patriot act and Homeland Security, and now its something called prism they're using. I always thought that we fought the Nazis in world War 2 to defeat them; not become them. But then, I always thought the entire country was a free speech zone; now it's reduced to a fenced enclosure miles from where your voice wants to be heard. Want another 50th anniversary, how about fluoridated water? Soon enough it looks like we'll be happy to have any water, the way things are going; between drought, fracking and outright privatization of water rights. What about Human rights?

Fifty years ago food was something wholesome, and American farmers were said to be feeding the world. Nowadays what few family farms remain are under Monsanto's stranglehold as Genetically Modified food-like-products are quite literally being shoved down our throats without so much as a whimper of protest from us. Why do you suppose that is? Why do we silently allow these profit-lusting corporations to pollute our water to where it's flammable; and why is the world's leading manufacturer of pesticides creating our "food" in laboratories with Genetically Modified Organisms?

Under the color of authority the state assumes complete control of our children; from womb to tomb, deciding which vaccinations they will receive, and whether or not you are a fit parent, as if we're nothing more than property, not people. On every level; from corporate, to law enforcement, to the TSA agent at the airport we are regarded and treated as if human dignity is just another oxymoron. Somewhere along the line we stopped resisting, and just accepted things as they are, and we called it normal.

Nowadays normal includes some 40,000 drones currently licensed & authorized to operate in American skies, spying on Americans, but then if you aren't a terrorist you have nothing to fear, right?!? The majority of these drones are used by DHS, FBI, Border Patrol, and most municipal police agencies, and it isn't about terrorism, it's about total control. Total, absolute control. You shouldn't mind that if you have nothing to hide.

As long as we follow the rules, and behave as good consumers with no secrets, and therefore nothing to complain about; we'll be fine according to the dictates of the state. As they pry into every last facet of our personal and private lives the standard refrain is that they're searching for terrorists, not law abiding citizens. What are all those FEMA camps for then? You know, those government detention camps which are officially denied and funded. The government claims to be keeping Guantanamo bay prison operating in Cuba because it doesn't want to detain those nasty terrorists on American soil; perhaps then they'd care to explain the construction and maintenance of these facilities:

We continue to see evidence of these detention camps for the same reason UFO and Bigfoot reports continue to mount; because people keep on seeing them! 800+ locations, including sports arenas and convention centers, ready for business upon the declaration of martial law. As it turns out, the revolution was televised.

Like I said, my generation has been touched by fire; we've seen and lived through a lot. We nearly took over the whole show 47 years ago; and they haven't forgotten that for a minute, which no doubt led to many of the pacification technologies we see employed against society today. No repeat performances. Ever so gradually we've been dumbed down, distracted, and discounted; as the insane assault on all good things continues unabated, and unanswered. In the words of my all time favorite protest sign;

"I can't believe we still have to protest this crap."

In an unholy alliance of greed & power; governments and corporations are now indistinguishable from one another in their dark agenda of hijacking human evolution, & impatiently driving the future...insanely attempting to improve upon the work of creation itself. If you think things are bizarre now, just wait until you see what the Transhuman gang have in store for the future. Between the genetic viruses which attack only the desired race, and the Aryan selective programming of DNA with only desirable attributes; they aim to succeed where Hitler failed. But you don't have anything to worry about unless your hiding something; like the wrong set of genetics.

From Snowden to snowed in by fake flammable snow it seems like something new and terrible is always pushing humanity in a direction we would not willingly choose ourselves; not that we've ever had any voice in such things. It's called a Herd Mentality for a reason, and something called consensus reality is constantly tweaked, adjusted & manipulated to keep said reality in a constant frothing simmer; just below boiling.

If the baby boomers were touched by fire, then certainly this current generation has been struck by lightning. Indeed, we experienced a lot, but it was as a walk in the park compared to what the current generation must deal with. I'm sure they remember how effective all our protest marches were in stopping the great military-industrial-complex that departing President Eisenhower warned us about. Kinda hoping this new crop has something better up their sleeves besides the needle marks & tattoos. Wouldn't you just normally assume that those with the most future ahead of them would be the vanguard of resistance?

Unfortunately the future on earth will not be determined by social or political changes, as much as environmental catastrophes such as Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, Fukushima; and the corexit swamp that used to be the gulf of Mexico. Between man made environmental disasters and Monsanto, our food chain is irreparably toxified with poisons they refuse to name. Our water tables are now also contaminated by fracking which continues to grow unabated around the country while the skies above us are streaked with the chemtrails which contaminate our breathable air with noxious chemicals & metals. Food, water & air; the survival trifecta, all being poisoned while the masses are mesmerized by duck dynasty and the most openly corrupt olympic games in history.

The new normal; don't look for it to get better, it never will.

This whole consensus reality hologram breeds us to utterly believe that competition is mandatory for survival; when in fact nothing of the sort is true. Buying into the great lie of competition keeps us forever vying for a better position, better house, better car than anyone else in our circle of influence. It also keeps us distracted from a great many things; evidently including what is happening to our food, air and water. Proof enough I suppose that all those pacification technologies are working just fine. When the world corporate government can boldly commit all these horrendous atrocities without people filling the streets in outrage, you can safely say humanity has been essentially taken out of the equation.

The Neocon psychopaths who installed themselves as our leaders constantly repeat that all these draconian measures are necessary for winning the fraudulent "war on terror." That's like saying you're going lion hunting but then you arrest all the cat owners in the country. The things being played out today across the planet were planned a very long time ago and those whose plan it is are not about to be undone by the kind of civil disobedience seen 50 years ago, so we were marginalized, and removed from the equation.

These things being done are not what you do to defeat an invisible enemy...

These things being done are what you do to herd livestock.

The Illusion of Good vs Evil

The secret is gradually getting out that we humans are something more than what we've always been led, and programmed to believe ourselves to be. In fact, we are hardwired from birth to exist in a fabricated reality of duality and dichotomy; believing most profoundly of all, in our own powerless insignificance. To begin with we're born into the greatest duality of them all, the one in which all others operate, the Birth-Death construct; where we're taught to believe in self over soul and that the authority of the state is absolute. From birth, the dualities begin to pile up fast as we are taught, and expected to "play" within their parameters even though that isn't always possible; and that is also an intentional aspect of the programming.

Long before we can either speak or walk, we're bombarded with the dualities which comprise our "playpen," beginning with Yes-No, Light-Dark, Good-Bad, Right-Wrong & Truth-Deception. These core dualities are designed to instill the feeling of powerlessness into the newly arrived soul as it gets used to its new form and environment. Did you know that lab rats born in captivity never have a sense there exists any other reality for them?

Other dualities present themselves to us while still in the newly arrived category; concepts like Male-Female, Love-Hate, Joy-Grief, and Dreams-Nightmares. There of course is the most obvious duality, the one we must deal with every day, that of the body being either Awake or Asleep. We make our way thru each day, doing what is expected of us, doing our best to navigate the increasing madness of the world while keeping our sanity intact: then fall fast asleep at days end to restore vitality in a fantasy world within our minds. What if I told you that is exactly backwards; that in fact, all your "waking" hours are but a dream state and what you experience each night is the real world. How would you feel about that? Welcome to the world of consensus reality!

You may well be asking how any of all this makes sense; well, it makes the same kind of sense as us choosing to incarnate into a world of hate in order to remember how to love! Before we can realize our full destiny as beings of light, we must first walk in the darkness. Before we can accept what truly unlimited beings we are, we must first experience the illusion of limitation, in this place. We don't need self-appointed rulers or their media empire to tell us how to feel, that's what we have a heart for. This then is where we encounter the truly thorny dualities of Wealth-Poverty, Liberty-Tyranny and Good-Evil which have such a stranglehold on this planet today.

Of all the dualities we are programmed to believe in and operate under, I don't think any get more constant use in so many divergent areas as the ages old battle between Good and Evil. We are made to think of these as exact opposite, and different things, that we are either one or the other; when the truth is we are both, and always have been. Just as the Yin-Yang where each half is also a part of the other, so are we. More than any other cudgel, religion is constantly used to hammer us down and keep us hating one another; forever hitting us with the whole war between Good and Evil thing as if they aren't just different expressions of the same exact energy! Each of us are the sum of our collective aspects; meaning that every human has aspects of both genders, as well as both good and evil impulses, thoughts and desires. We are then, what we choose to express as, through as many, or as few aspects as desired in the given moment

All these dualities and dichotomies can do is keep us apart and at each others throats instead of bringing us together in harmonious unity, so we can take part in the evolution of our species which is now underway, despite monumental efforts to derail it. We are here to experience the entire full range of human expression and emotion, not to work harder every year for less pay to make rich bastards still richer. Those who seek to prevent this spiritual evolution have known from the beginning that they'd have to separate us from our spiritual source; and that's exactly when they started programming humanity. Their plan has failed; humanity is waking up, starting to brush away the cobwebs and remember who we are. The evidence of this is simply everywhere we look these days, right alongside of the evidence that the fake facade of duality is at long last falling apart, crumbling under the weight of its own corruption & greed.

The great shining lie of duality is being challenged at nearly every level as the wheel of life turns past the time of the Kali Yuga, and into the time of the Aquarian Evolution. Make no mistake about it, those purveyors of the great shining lie who seek to deny us our spiritual heritage are not about to give up and walk away just because we can now see them for exactly who & what they are. We are now much like the rebellious teenager who finally decides that being grounded is no longer acceptable; forcing their parents to scramble in order to maintain their authority. Those who seek to control every aspect of our lives do not see themselves as our parents, however. They see themselves as our owners, who can therefore do as they please; and being seen as fair & reasonable simply isn't important to them at all, simply doesn't enter into the equation. Therefore, as we have seen repeatedly, each new expression of freedom & independence is met with increasingly violent force.

Humanity is starting to shake off it's addiction to petroleum, perhaps realizing 40 years too late that we should have listened to the hippies when they tried to teach us that love is all we need, and to honor the earth. We got sold a bill of goods called the American Dream which was designed to keep us mollified and content as the owners went about their nefarious agenda. We incarnated here in this place at this time of great upheaval and change not to be destroyed by it; but to overcome it. Our challenge has always been to see beyond the illusion of good vs evil, recognizing and remembering who we really are in the process. Just like the lab rats, we have been given but a single, limited existence within a fake construct in which to live out our life of service to the state, forever torn between the forces of good and evil.

Haven't you ever wondered why our "choices" always seem to be limited to just two? Or perhaps two serious options and a silly one?? Whenever there is something to decide or choose there are almost always a number of options to choose from; unless most of them are just ignored and marginalized into insignificance. Why can't we have six or eight political parties if we want them, why is the game always so regulated in favor of the house? Humanity is not only waking up, we're are also becoming very tired of all the heavy handed tactics being used by our desperate owners as they begin to realize it's not nice to fool mother nature, or the population of the planet. In a last ditch effort to keep the control that is daily slipping away from them, the owners will surely ramp up the chaos, efforting to keep us all in panic mode. don't go there, it's a real seedy neighborhood. Instead, why not reclaim your power, and climb down off the chessboard, refuse to play their game any longer. Pick up your marbles and go home! You see, there is no end to this movie of 3D despair, death & debauchery; it will keep running as long as it holds your interest, by keeping you in the fear half of the dichotomy. Change the channel!

In this life on this planet there is but a single dichotomy we need to acknowledge, for it is the only one which is real! Will you travel the road of service to self, or will you walk to road of service to others? All other decisions you make will be secondary from choosing which path you will walk. The path of service to self is all about ego, self satisfaction, and getting what you want, and is decidedly materialistic. The path of service to others is about compassion, helping those who can do nothing for you in return, indeed, it is about not expecting something in return, for service to others IS the reward. Now here's the interesting, (and tricky) part. It really doesn't matter which path you take, because in the fullness of time they both terminate at the exact same place! Some people begin on one road, then for whatever reasons choose to switch to the other path; and others may even do this several times within a single incarnation, and this is as it should be, because we each need to have experiences on each path on our sojourn to completion.

Exactly like all other dualities, the two paths are not mutually exclusive, but rather different expressions of the same energy. This is the key to understanding all of it, so I'll say it again; dualities are not separate or different 'things' - they are different aspects, different expressions of the same energy. Once you realize this you will immediately begin to see so many more than just two options, you'll see everything between the two aspects as a whole new range of possibilities, and choices; and the owners will then appear to you as they have always been, cockroaches, parasites and cowards.

This is exactly what John Lennon was talking about in the song Imagine, seeing all of the possibilities in life beyond the fake facade of duality & dichotomy. Breaking free of that locked room you have for a mind and exploring all that life has to offer, that's what he was talking about! The lie of duality insists that we are all different, separate, and unequal entities vying for survival in this place; it has to demand this and drill it into our minds from a very early age, lest we discover our true nature, our true destiny. I am sure that there are those who feel that whatever lot they have in life is just because we live on a planet controlled by psychopaths, and who wants to piss them off? Me, I do! So should you. We should want to piss them off by denying their entire premise with all it's duality and twisted agenda...walk away, stop playing the game you have already been designated the loser in! What have you got to gain? If you keep playing you'll just get ground up with everyone else still asleep at this late hour, so why continue? Find a better way, one your heart can agree with, one that won't stress you into an early grave!

OK, I can sense here that some of you are just now becoming uncomfortable with how all this challenges your religious faith, and your belief in God. I hear you wondering to yourself, how can it possibly be that Good and Evil are the same energy? What if we were talking about Food instead. Let's say you prepare a delicious meal for yourself: if you consume it at the proper time, it sustains and nourishes you; but if you walk away and don't return for several days before eating the food you left on the table, it will make you quite ill, possibly even kill you. Different aspects of the same energy. One is pristine and pure while the other is vile and disgusting, same meal, same energy; one is just a much lower vibration than the other!

Or, we could look at it still another way. No matter what religious faith we may subscribe to, they all seem to have a central omniscient entity who controls everything, right!?! It doesn't matter what name you prefer to use, the energy is the same, be it God, Allah, Buddha, Source, or God-Goddess-All-that-Is, or what have you! Now, if you wish to continue being a slave to duality that is fine by me, but for those seeking to understand their way out of this mess, allow me to suggest to you a simple yet powerfully persuasive stream of consciousness that may be the catalyst you seek... if God, or Allah, or Buddha or just whoever is the supreme entity who created everything, can there be anything in this existence not created by that entity? Most likely your indoctrination tells you the answer here is "No"- fine, Then if everything that exists was created by the one supreme being, this means everything came from the same exact source, including all things evil.

I rest my case.

Reverse Speech & Microexpressions

The truth is a funny thing, isn't it?? Firstly it's quite colorful & warm as we're always splitting it into degrees, (of honesty) as well as various shades of grey. Next we want to reserve it for only the select self-chosen ones, and if that doesn't work; then we protect & defend the truth, with a ring of lies. Everybody lies, just ask anybody! Here again we have a kind of color code for our lies: little white lies are the ones we allow ourselves when sparing another's feelings is of equal importance as our keeping a secret. The other end of the spectrum would then be the black hearted lie when the liar takes perverse pleasure in the deception of others. Those who most often and flagrantly lie to us, demand total honesty from us when it is largely absent in society, business & politics. It is perhaps the worst of the double standards which society prefers to ignore rather than remedy.

Lying is something we all do all the time, if not every day, in every conversation; but I'm getting to that. The thing here is that lying is supposed a big no-no if you put credibility into the Top 10 (commandments.)

I grant you it is rather low on the list, and does seem to condemn bearing false witness against thy neighbor, while being rather obscure regards the fellow across town. What's the use of having such Holy commandments from the creator if we can arbitrarily just hold ourselves and others somehow immune from them as it suits our will? Good question, huh? What is worse, are all the pantomimes everyone goes thru pretending that society actually honors truth. Don't you think it's getting pretty grotesque?

There are the lies we tell others, and then there are the lies we tell ourselves; and in both instances, the reason why is always the better story. Sometimes the reasons even make a kind of sense. We tell ourselves that, so as to better hide our shame. We lie to our children generation after generation, encouraging their belief in Santa & the tooth fairy; then wonder why as adults they no longer believe us about much of anything.

Before I retired; I spent a couple decades as a professional counselor. I started out as one of two counselors at a Vietnam Veteran Outreach Center in Alaska. Five years of working with traumatized souls taught me many things, but the most important was to treat the soul on the etheric level, not the meatsack in 3D! When our center's five year grant expired we closed the doors, each of us taking what we'd learned forward into the future with us. Although there were no more vets to work with; I'd found my calling, and figured I'd find a surplus of clients in the civilian population to help. I mention this because by far the number one killer of relationships, is the lie that becomes a pattern of deception nobody will acknowledge.

As a holistic practitioner I was usually open to new methods which produced interesting results, adding them to my tools & skill set whenever I could. One of these tools is something called Reverse Speech; discovered in 1983 by Australian linguistic researcher David Oates. When back masking tapes of human speech, or playing them backwards; Oates discovered that within the garbled, unintelligible backwards audio, there very often are clearly heard phrases, spoken normally! David Oates first book, ["Beyond Backward Masking"] and media attention came in 1987, and a couple of years later he moved to the

United States

to promote and advance his groundbreaking research in what he calls Reverse Speech.

People began paying attention and taking it seriously when Oates appeared on the Art Bell radio show, coast to coast in 1996, a year after his second book was published ["Reverse Speech: voices from the unconscious"]. Oates soon became a popular guest as he always brought a nice selection of reverse speech examples, usually from the politicians and newsmakers of the day. The one presidential reversal which got a lot of attention was when George W. Bush was speaking about the war on terror, but in reverse he says "We'll rule the world, dad." Just one of many very revealing & truly spooky reversals from the smirking chimp president. Not only did this new emerging technology interest me in general, I also saw what I thought would be a perfect application, in personal counseling & therapy. I purchased the books, a study course, and a reversing machine which is a slightly modified portable cassette recorder; altered to allow for playing the tape backwards. Right away I realized there were some potential issues around using this new technology, primarily informed consent and non-infringement; as well as getting to really comprehend the things you are hearing & what they represent.

"The Truth Points to Itself"

It didn't take very long for me to appreciate how very powerful reverse speech can be. I'd had the equipment for a few weeks, still learning how to properly use it in hopes of folding it into my counseling practice. A friend of mine who is a professional audio technician was visiting from San Francisco one Saturday afternoon, and when he asked what new stuff I was into, I pulled out the recorder and explained the basics of reverse speech to him. My friend was intrigued, and wanted to try it just for fun. So it was we agreed to just carry on our visit with the recorder on, and my friend began talking about all the things he had planned for the week. About fifteen minutes later we realized we'd both kinda ignored the tape recorder while focusing on the conversation. With the tape ready to hear in reverse, we waited with anticipation to see what, if anything we would hear. We didn't have to wait very long at all: there, amid the unintelligible gibberish of language played backwards we both heard it clear as a bell, it was my friends voice saying "I'm so lonely." My friend looked at me as if I had just committed the greatest possible betrayal of his very soul. I could see the anguish on his face, he was devastated; and angrily gathering his things to take his leave. He made it quite clear that he thought I had set him up with a fake tape; never even considering it was his voice, or that he'd showed up unannounced. My friend stormed out of my place, and I haven't seen or heard from him in the ten years since. Powerful stuff!

In fact, reverse speech is so powerful in revealing the truth, that the white house devised techniques to try to defeat it; teaching the president to alter his cadence of speech to try breaking up the reversals before they occur. This has met with limited success though, as the condemning reversals just keep popping up whenever a politician is talking. Reminds me of the one about how to tell if a politician is lying - his lips will be moving! I continued working with reverse speech after that initial disaster but was unsure of how to use it as a counseling aide, or if I should even try as I was discovering some interesting facts along the way. If they are hearing reversals from the president or some movie celebrity people are just fine with reverse speech, until they are the one being recorded; then it becomes something else altogether. I discovered that the vast majority of people simply don't want to know what their own speech reversals are saying about them. They don't want to know, and they don't want anyone else knowing either. Kinda limits it's use as a tool for therapy or self-improvement.

There exist several credible applications for this technology, beyond personal growth. Reverse speech is being used in business partnerships & transactions; as well as by homeland security, the police, and private investigation companies. The world of reverse speech is filled with metaphors such as Eagle, Wolf, Whirlwind and many others, each with their own unique meaning and interpretation. Recognizing, and understanding these metaphors is key to properly using the technology. Furthermore, there are two basic types of speech reversals which commonly occur; Incongruent reversals are saying the opposite of what is actually being said; and Complimentary Reversals are those which agree with and give added weight to what is being said. In it's most basic form then, reverse speech serves as a most excellent lie detector which is so efficient that it even reveals the lies we tell ourselves without realizing it. Reverse speech reveals the truth of the matter because it by-passes all known human defense mechanisms and gets right to the very heart of the matter. It can be a very blunt and brutal awakening to truth; one that the majority of us are not yet ready to embrace.

"Ain't no way to hide your lying eyes"~ The Eagles

Another intriguing new technology was discovered some years back by Dr. Paul Ekman, an expert in non-verbal communication & body language who pioneered the science of face reading; the fascinating world of Microexpressions. Dr. Ekman has compiled an "Atlas of Emotions" comprised of over ten thousand unique facial expressions, and is known as the human lie detector. His seminal work is on specific biological correlates of specific emotions, demonstrating the universality and discreetness of emotions, using the Darwinian approach. Similar to reverse speech, these very brief facial microexpressions reveal the truth of our emotions despite what our words are saying. Lasting fractions of a second, these microexpressions are usually as invisible to the eye as speech reversals are to the ear. While nobody has learned to actually hear speech reversals in real time (to my knowledge), it's a different story with microexpressions; as one can learn to spot a great many of them, and know just what they mean.

With reverse speech its all about the metaphors, but with face reading its the telltale manipulators that give us away when we're lying, like touching the face, lips, or ear. A wrinkle of the nose or snarling of the lip lasting perhaps a fifteenth of a second denotes disdain and contempt. We've always heard it said that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and if you know what to look for, the eyes will also reveal if someone is lying to you. Most usually if someone looks you directly in the eye when answering a question, they are lying, repeating a practiced performance of deception, and they are looking in your eyes to gauge the success of their lie. If a persons eyes move or shift to the left when answering a question they are accessing the memory part of the brain, and speaking the truth from memory. However, if their eyes shift to the right, it means they are accessing the part of the brain that builds and constructs narrative, and lying to you! As I said, most usually!

In yet another case of art imitating life, Dr. Ekman's work with body language & microexpressions was turned into a TV series, "Lie to Me" (2009-2011) starring Tim Roth; which served to bring the subject to public awareness, as a kind of extension of the study of body language in general. When someone you're speaking with suddenly crosses their arms over their chest; its an involuntary defensive mechanism meaning they feel threatened or insecure, and don't want to engage the subject matter for whatever reason. Microexpressions present at the same time can give added insight into a persons mindset; if you know what to look for. In every case, these subconscious "tells" give us away whenever we are in conflict; revealing things we don't want others to know:

A sudden, brief flare of the nostrils denotes apprehension or agitation.

'Crows feet' around the eyes with pushed up cheeks denotes happiness.

Eyebrows down & together with glaring eyes denotes anger.

Eyebrows raised & together with raised upper eyelids denotes fear.

Drooping upper eyelids with lip corners turned down denotes sadness.

Lip corner tightened and raised on one side only denotes contempt.

A brief wrinkling of the nose denotes disgust or disdain.

Both corners of mouth turned sharply downward denotes arrogant disgust & contempt.

Oblique eyebrows with the mouth slightly open denotes surprise.

Such non-verbal communication is going on all the time, we just don't see it because these expressions are so brief in nature; still with practice, they can be learned. Research indicates that a very small percentage of the population, around 5%, are Naturals, meaning that they can see and understand the language of microexpressions without training - human lie detectors. I can imagine that being one of these naturals would be a blessing wrapped in a curse, because basic human nature seems to orbit the death star of don't ask - don't tell when it comes down to keeping secrets from each other.

Reverse speech, body language and microexpressions are natural reactions to imbalanced energy within us. these things are the body-mind's way of telling on us when we're involved in a conflict of truth. Being in harmony is the desired (remembered) state of being we all secretly strive for and desire. Without such harmony of body-mind-spirit, the incongruent energy must manifest in some way, so it comes out as involuntary subconscious speech reversals body language and microexpressions; clues to the observant that something is amiss. Unfortunately the vast majority of us tend to ignore such messages from our corporeal form rather than take action to correct the imbalance. Oh, we tell ourselves we'll get around to fixing this or that little chink in our armor, in order to consciously justify putting it off; but then we seldom follow thru on the hollow intention. Somewhere deep inside, in the silence at the heart of things, we know we're really lying to ourselves, which in turn can trigger still more defense mechanisms and neuroses. It turns out that the old saying has basis in fact: Honesty is the best policy.

We ignore and gloss over our own little self deceptions, which I suppose makes it easier to overlook the everyday little deceptions of those we deal with in our various entangled relationships. For example, when two people first meet and are attracted to each other they often begin the dating process: in which each person does everything they can to show themselves in the best light possible; while simultaneously hiding and concealing their faults and shortcomings. We've all done it, but isn't it really like starting a relationship based on deception? Are we so afraid of loneliness & rejection that we prefer toxic relationships with other wounded souls. Maybe its also true that misery loves company, but it just seems like such a waste to me, wasteful and kind of pointless.

Whenever we base & begin (romantic) relationships for any reason other than the right one such liaisons often leave a small spark of resentment in both people, which in time can rage into a nightmare full of all the nasty things resentment breeds. Sir Walter Scott had it right; "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." The other really cool aspect to honesty is that you never have to remember what you said!

To one degree or another society has always worn a set of blinders when it comes to the honesty of our politicians, but these days it has morphed into a full-on blindfold we give ourselves; because we just really don't want to know how deep the rabbit hole goes, kind of like my friend from a decade ago, we will reject even the boldest of truths just to keep our illusions and deceptions in place. In other words, it is an act of insanity to be well adjusted to an insane world!
